Dr Chris Allen

Chris is an anaesthetics and intensive care medicine trainee based in the North East of
England. He undertook the Fellowship in Environmentally Sustainable Anaesthesia with
the Association of Anaesthetists and Centre for Sustainable Healthcare at Newcastle
Hospitals from 2020-21. His work has included developing the national Nitrous Oxide
Project which looks at nitrous oxide systems loss, and he is the project lead for
Newcastle Hospital’s trial of nitrous oxide cracking technology in their maternity services.
