Prof Mahmood Bhutta

Mahmood is consultant and honorary clinical professor in ENT Surgery in Brighton.  His academic work is broad and spans from genetics to systematic reviews, from local service delivery to global health, and from human to veterinary ear surgery.  He also has a long-standing interest in sustainability and was a founder of the Medical Fair and Ethical Trade Group at the British Medical Association which looks at labour rights abuses in healthcare supply chains. 

 

More recently he has been commissioned to lead a national report on sustainable surgery and is a founder of the Brighton and Sussex Medical School Sustainability Group, which undertakes research in this field.
